NICE WEATHER and FISHING KY-10 GUIST CREEK Our morning started out in the low 60’s and partly cloudy skies and highs got into the low 80’s with not much wind to speak of. Water temps were around 80 F and at normal summer pool. We had 16 teams come out for this tournament. There were 10 limits caught and a Big Bass of 5.25lbs. Only two teams didn’t manage to weigh-in a fish. Here are the Results from the winning teams. First Place went to Team Cloyd/Kuhl with a total of (5) bass 14.34lbs. They filled their limit using Top waters, Jigs, and Crankbaits fishing the Main lake in Tick creek and near the Ski Area. Their fish were caught scattered throughout the day. “June is a great month to fish on Guist Creek!” -Troy Kuhl Second Place went to Team Kissick/Satterly with a total of (5) bass 13.49lbs. They managed to catch their limit using Black & Blue Jigs in depths of 3 feet in the creek during the first 30 minutes of the event. “It was a good day on the water. The bites were better since the water temperature came up” -Bert Kissick Third Place went to Team Thompson/Roe with a total of (5) bass 12.10lbs. Their fish were caught on shallow running crankbaits in 2-4’ of water in the shade back in the creek. All their keepers were caught by 10 am. They also caught some short fish throughout the day. “A lot better fishing than it has been, and a lot more bites too!” -Shannon Thompson Big Fish Honors went to Team Price/Sanchez with a 5.25lb bass. Their big fish was caught on a worm around 6:30am in 4’ of water. “We had a great day of fishing!” -Price/Sanchez Thank to everyone who came out to fish with us, and for the teams giving us a report on the fishing! See everyone and any new members at the next one to be held on July 13 from 6am-2:30pm. See all results and info. on the www.USABassin.com site. Congratulations to all the teams!
