Guist Creek Lake 04/27/08 water temp 66-67 Deg. on main lake found a few spots 68-69 Deg. water color about normal murky green caught a few on soft plastics...

The tournament started out a little cool with temps around the upper 40’s but managed sunshine and low 60’s.

Anglers are finding out this year is proving to be tough fishing on Guist Creek. There has been very low weight coming to the scales this year in comparison to years past. But, some nice fish are still being caught. 

Here are the top three results and winners interviews from the Guist Creek tournament held on April 27, 2007. 

CONDITIONS: Water temp. 67-70F

First Place:
Team Kincaid/Kincaid (4) Largemouth totaling 7.42lbs.
Area/Depth Fished
: Main Lake in transition areas fishing shallow to deep water.
Lures Used:
 Hard Jerk Baits
Times Caught
: All in an hour between 11am-12pm

Quote:
 “Tough fishing today! You had to be at the right spot at the right time!” 

Second Place: Team Evridge/Kelly (3) Largemouth totaling 6.56lbs.
Area/Depth Fished
: Creek. Fishing Break lines in 8-10’
Lures Used:
Spinnerbaits with willow leaf blades
Times Caught
: The first hour of the tournament 7am-8am some short fish later in the day.
 Quote: “Best fishing we could do today! We had a great time!” 

Third Place & Big Fish: Team King/Biggs (1) Hefty Largemouth total of 4.07lbs.
Area/Depth Fished
: Main lake 10-15’deep.
Lures Used:
Worms
Time Caught:
11am
