Wow!!! What a difference a week can make in regard to the Lake Level, Fishing and Catching! The Lake area received over Ten Inches of rain during the past week and the Lake Level rose over a Foot and a Half as of this Report. Over the Labor Day Holiday Period, there was as many as Six Spillway Gates open and the Lake was still rising. I'm sure by the time you're reading this Report the Level will have begun to lower, but a Rain Event like the one we just had can really change what's happening in a hurry! One by product of the Rain was some much needed lower temperatures that let us know that "Fall is just around the corner!!!"




Before the Rain's came and on the last Fishing Trip I conducted for White Bass, we limited out and actually did quite a bit of Catch and Release fishing as the bite was so aggressive and so much fun to catch one fish after another! On the first trip after the Rains and the Lake Level on the rise, Adam and I had the toughest day we have had this year as we had a combined twenty-one White Bass caught for the two boats. It takes a lot to stop the White Bass on RC from biting, but the large amount of Fresh Water will sometimes do it! As we begin the new week, we will be taking our Catfish Rods and Bait with us as the Catfish seem to never stop biting and actually like the Fresh Water and Cooler Temperatures. 🙂


As mentioned, Fall is on the way and it's my favorite time of the year! We usually have the option of fishing for Whites or Catfish and the bite is normally very good! Give us a call if this sounds interesting and We Will Go Fishin'!
