On Friday, I had a foursome that fish with us regularly in my boat. Weather was totally different with Bluebird Skys and a calm Wind. (I figured it might be a tough morning and it was.) We tried locating the Whites but after an hour or so of fishing and only half a dozen Whites and a Hybrid to show for our efforts, we changed to Catfish. We did catch over 20 Keeper Cats up the Richland Arm of the Lake but the nice weather conditions once again proved that you really need a little Wind and some Cloud Cover if you want a good bite! Well, on Saturday Mother Nature came through with a little early AM Fog that burned off quickly and then a great 10 MPH SW Wind, Cloud Cover, and Temperatures in the 70's most of the morning. My foursome caught 76 Keeper Cats and Adam's Group that included three small Kiddos had 47 Keepers! All our Catfish were caught on Danny Kings Punch Bait in 25' feet of water. It was a Great Day on the Lake!
Catfishing will only get better as we move into cooler weather! We're catching lots of smaller Cats now, but the larger fish will turn on as Fall turns into Winter. If you want to load the Ice Chest and then have a great Fish Fry, give us a call and We'll Go Catchin'! 🙂
