Bass fishing is slow. The #4 and #5 Shad Raps are catching small spotted bass in the smaller cuts and coves. These baits are the exact sizes of the baits the fish are eating. Fish both the Balsa Wood and RS Models early in the morning and then again late in the day. The Shad color seems to be working the best with the clear green water. After the sun comes up finesse worms around boat docks and a small rig Texas style are working on a few bass. Try the Weedless Wonder lead heads to slow down hang ups. Anglers are using the Carolina rigs in deep water during the late morning until afternoon on the drop offs and channel ledges. Submerged structure in 18 to 25 feet of water seems to be the key. Watch the Fish and Game Forecaster to be sure you are using the right baits during the higher activity levels.
