Several of you have heard me make the statement...."Never trust a Weatherman" and while I make it all in fun, once again this past week, it proved true! If you listened to the Weather forecasters on TV or viewed the Internet Weather sites like Weather Channel or Wunderground, you would have canceled almost every trip for the week. My customers, Adam and I paid little attention to the high percentage of rain forecasted and we managed to fish every day, catch limits and had a ball! The rest of the story is that on two trips we did make a quick trip off the Lake to avoid a Thunderstorm and then return to the fishing after it had passed. On a side note, I use the Internet Site that Airlines and Pilots use and it's as reliable as anyone or site I've found over the past twenty years. It's www.usairnet.com and it has proved correct almost the entire Spring and has enabled us to get our Customers on the Lake, catch fish and avoid the disappointment of cancelling a trip they have waited on for weeks! 🙂


What a week it was as the White Bass were on an awesome bite and once again our biggest problem on some trips was limiting out too fast! We caught Whites on every trip and on a couple of trips took the Punch Bait and caught some nice "Eater Size" Blue Cats. We know that sooner or later we'll have to work a little harder to find and catch our fish, but for right now we're enjoying the BEST SPRING action we've had in several years!

Seems like every week we have a cancel or two and we hate to miss a day when the fishing is so good!
