Fishbuster Charters' Captain Dave Hanson reported, "Jerrod Haulcomb, his brother, Patrick, and their dad, Rick, fished with me on Wednesday, 7/15, in spots ranging from 12 to 19 miles west of New Pass The guys wanted to catch some bigger fish, so we went after goliaths and sharks. The sharks bit on cut-bait, and the guys battled four blacknose sharks, which measured 38 to 40 inches, before releasing them. We also got a goliath grouper, estimated at 80 to 90 pounds and four feet long, which put up a good fight until it broke the line. The guys managed enough food-fish for a meal of fish tacos, boxing three keeper lane snapper and three grunts. They released five lane snapper shorts, ten red grouper shorts to 19 inches, three crevalle jacks, and a near-16-inch triggerfish.
