LAKE RUSSELL IS FULL & 77 DEGREES
Bass fishing is fair and the fish are of thick cover. Get out the jerk baits, Flukes and the jigs. The spots are up shallow water and everything from top water baits to crank baits and a jig or worms can work. Start off early with small shad top water baits and slowly fish the water column down during the day. Creeks and small cuts are showing improvement and the main lake points are still good producers. Take along a variety of colors and a variety of Shad Raps, DT's and X-Raps with three or four colors of six inch worms. Zoom Super Flukes in pearl and the McStick jerk baits can be fished slower during the day and will get more strikes. Pick some reef markers and points right in the creek mouths for the best action all day. The backs of the creeks are not producing well. Ask Ken for a sample of the BASS FISHING LAKE RUSSELL book.
