LAKE SEMINOLE IS 1.1 FEET OVER FULL, MUDDY & 82 DEGREES

This bass fishing report is by Matt Baty.

Bass fishing is good and all you need is a top water bait or just spend the day flipping. The frog bite is really good. The Nories Frogfest was held on Seminole recently and with a 3 fish limit, it took 19.66 lbs to win. We were 3rd with 18.84 pounds. This was a 102 boat field. There really were some nice stringers caught and all you could throw was a frog. The fish are biting the frog in the grass and in the pads. Use a Regular Spro Bronzeye 65 in Natural Green or Leopard. Use at least 60 lb. Sunline FX2 Braid, but 80 pound test works best. Look for grass beds or lily pads that have current present and fish fast to cover a lot of water. Another good way to catch them right now is to flip grass mats on the Flint River. When flipping, use at least a 1 ounce Mat Missile made by Fish Catchin Fool Tungsten weights. They will be coming out with heavier weights soon and they will be awesome. The best bait and set up is to use a Big Bite Baits Real Deal Craw in Hematoma and rig it with a 5/0 Gamakatsu Heavy Cover Flippin hook and braid of course.
