Bass fishing is good. Fish can be caught all over the lake in shallow water. The shad have started moving in the creeks and the bass are following. Shad imitating baits are best. White spinner baits, crank baits, and super flukes will all catch fish. Flat sided crank baits are best on creek points and flats. The spinner bait and flukes are best around grass and wood cover. Mid day when the reaction bite slows down, throw a Buckeye Spot Remover with a green pumpkin trick worm around docks and brush piles. The best area has been from Rooty Creek up to Crooked Creek. Matt has a few guide trips available after October 20th. Give me a call if you are looking to get in on some fun fishing.
