  • The best bite has been in Cowikee Creek-Lake George

LAKE GEORGE IS FULL, 54 DEGREES Bass fishing is fair. During the winter your lure selection will be relatively small. The fish are deeper suspending out over creek ledges and humps making spoons about the only way to get a consistent bite. Use a 1/2 ounce by Hopkins and jig it right in the schools. All the activity on the Lowrance graph showed up in 21 to 25 feet of water with several large concentrations of bait holding around the mouths of Cowikee Creek and Wyaluanne Creek. The best bite has been in Cowikee Creek as the creek channel seems to be holding a good bit of fish. Last weeks strong cold front really sent the surface temperatures down with 54 degrees the normal. Visibility is running fair to poor as last weeks rains stained the upper end up a bite.
