LAKE WEISS IS AT 3.96 FEET BELOW FULL POOL AND STAINED AND 43-44 DEGREE'S

Bass Fishing is Good and a lot of Bass are being caught shallow, in 2-5 feet of water in the back of the coves and bays. Rat L Traps, shallow running crank baits and spinner baits are producing well. The Spotted Bass are in Little River and The Chattooga River. Drop Shot rigs, Shaky Head Jigs and Texas rigged and Carolina rigged Senko style worms are producing some fish.

Crappie Fishing is Great and the Crappie are suspended in the river channels 12-14 feet deep in 15-25 feet of water. Long line trolling with Jiffy Jigs in colors JJ01,JJ05,JJ13,JJ17,JJ20 and Marks special blue, is producing some great catches right now. 3 Mile creek is producing some fish around the bridge on minnows and a Float and Fly. The Chattooga River is also producing some fish casting a Float and Fly to the submerged stumps along the edge of the river channel.


Striper Fishing is Fair and they are in the main river channel in Little River and the Coosa River. Trolling they river channel with a 1/4 ounce Jig with a 3-4 inch Sassy Shad at 1 mph - 1.5 mph is a great way to catch these fish in the winter.

Catfish are biting Good in the deeper flats and the main river channels on cut bait
