LAKE RUSSELL IS FULL, CLEAR & 48 DEGREES
Bass fishing is slow. The recent cold front that moved through shocked the fish. And with the full moon and high blue bird skies made it even slower. Most anglers will be headed to the northern end of the Savannah River and are fishing any wood with jigs and finesse worms. The cold front should back the bass back to deeper water. Back off and use the deep diving crank baits with a slow retrieve. Number eight and nine Shad Raps, Deep Diving Husky jerk baits used like a crank bait and the Rapala DT10 should work. Also, try using a 1/2 ounce Fish Head Spin with a Super Fluke attached over the deep water bass. If the sun pops out, bounce a DT7 Flat off the rocks and rip rap.
