I just got word yesterday that legislation about the darter minnow endangered species that they had planned to hold Lake Cumberland for is over. They passed legislation to kill the bill with the help of Sen. Mitch McConnell.

So, they're going to raise Lake Cumberland back up to 20-25' to get it back to normal like it was 10 years ago.

Probably, except for rainfall, we won't have high water this year or this Spring because they are filling the lake back up. A good think for the River!

Right now I'm standing on the bank above Maribone, the river is good and green. The gravel bars aren't out but they're just barely under the water. I don't know if you could wade to them from the bank, but the river's in good shape...you can see the bars with good green color.

Good trout coming in. White bass - they're catching at the mouth of Maribone Creek. They're catching quite a few and they should move on up now that the river is gonna stable for a while.

The darter millow thing is really good news for the river, they can keep plenty of cold water, let water out regular like we did 10 years ago. Just a real gbood thing for the river and it's about **** time! so, come on down and catch some fish!
