However, the fishing (and catching) is very good! I went out scouting for a couple of hours one morning this past week before the winds got too high, and had the first really good White Bass action of the Spring. The fish are moving up on the long, wind blown points to do their spawn and this signals good action for the next few weeks! You'll find fish in 10'-15' water off Pelican Island and be able to catch them on 1 oz. Silver RSR Slabs. ( www.rsrlures.com ). The Hybrid Stripers have appeared and on many mornings you'll find them off the 309 Flats. Keep a big ol' 4" Sassy Shad rigged up to throw at them! Crappie are starting to be caught in the shallow coves and creeks on small minnows and jigs as they also begin their annual spawn.
And lastly, we continue to have good luck on Blue and Channel Catfish in the Richland Creek timbered areas. We catch our fish on Danny King's Punch Bait and on most days have a really nice box of good "fish fry material"!
Our April calendar is literally full, but we have plenty of Weekdays in May and June that we need to fill. We're now booking our Summer Saturdays as all the April thru June Weekends are booked. If you'd like to get in on some AWESOME action, give us a call at 903-389-4117 and We'll Go Catchin'!
