Lake is within about 2 to 2 1/2 feet from where they are supposed to hold it this year. They're calling for 4-5" inches of rain today (Monday) and tomorrow (Tuesday).
The boat ramp here in town is not far from being in the road so wading is out of the question for this week. But the good news is, with all this rain - it's gonna get the lake up to where they want to hold it and we should get back to like it was 10 years ago...a normal rise and normal fall in the river. This little rain spell we're having right now ought to flush the river out pretty good.
Before all this, there's been some good browns coming in ... 7-8 pound size rainbows. Several over the 20" mark - the keeper type fish.
Right now, we're looking normal rise, normal fall...but after this, everything should go back to normal.
Fishin's been real good...this should move white bass and sauger that've been down river, move 'em all up this way.
If the rain quits tomorrow, I'd say by Thursday the river will be fishable again because they aren't giving rain forecast this weekend.
If you want to wade though, forget it until at least the weekend.
I'll give an update again soon.
