LAKE RUSSELL IS FULL, CLEAR & UPPER 70’S DEGREES
Bass fishing is good. Points and the larger secondary points are getting pounded to death this week. Anglers are depending heavy on the plastics to catch a limit of bass. Key areas to look for are those points that contain the most wood. The larger bass are relating to the lay downs and submerged stumps for most of the day. The wind has been active at some time during the day, mostly afternoons. Some nice largemouth and spotted bass will bite the Rapala DT10 in the natural shad color. Make a long cast and get the bait down and try to bump it off the bottom and the submerged stumps. Catch one or two bass off a point then move on. The fish aren't bunched up and a run and gun from point to point will be necessary. For a sample of the BASS FISHING LAKE RUSSELL book e mail [email protected]
