LAKE RUSSELL IS FULL, CLEAR & LOW 80’S
Bass fishing is fair. Carolina rigs are by far the most popular way to find and catch bass year round but especially in the heat of summer. Down size the tackle, especially the line size and weight sizes to catch more and bigger bass. Pearl Zoom Super Flukes are working all day and be sure to use a light weight 3/0 offset worm hook. The secret is to take along a variety of plastics and alternate them all during the day. Change from a six inch worm to a Hoo Daddy to a finesse worm while fishing the same area is working. Try using a 3/16 or 1/4 ounce brass weight on ten pound test Sufix line. A small 3 inch Wildeye Swim Baits bouncing off the bottom is another good way to catch deeper water summer bass.
