LAKE RUSSELL IS FULL, CLEAR & MID 80’S
Bass fishing is slow and the fish are small. Way up the Savannah River and in Beaver Dam Creek the water is moving and cooler. Flip or pitch the Rattle Back jigs into the cover and watch the line as it falls. The lighter the weight you can use, the better the results. Spotted bass and some largemouth are holding tight to cover during the day. Keep a Zoom Super Fluke in pearl ready all day and use it at every stop even if for only a few casts. Down below the 72 Bridge, use Rapala DT14 to crank the deep water just off the rocky points. Bass are using the areas to stage and keep in cooler water. Long casts and slow retrieves is all it will take to trigger a strike.
Using the Lowrance Structure Scan and Down Scan technology while fishing the bridge pylons. For a sample of the BASS FISHING LAKE RUSSELL book e mail [email protected]
