September is here and our South Florida temperatures are still in the 90'sand that is expected. As we get closer to the end of September we should see achange in our temperatures and the beginning of the Fall Migration start totake place. Already in some areas of South Florida we are seeing signs of thebaitfish schools making it into some of the waters that I fish. In Miamischools of tiny glass minnows and the first finger mullet and larger mulletschools have arrived. Water temperatures in North and South Bay are stillpretty high so I wouldn't expect to see a lot of predators working thesebaitfish schools yet.


Offshore the dolphins are 15 to 20 miles out, kingfish, bonitos, blackfintuna and sailfish are around but not in numbers.


The fishing in Flamingo continues to be the best place to fish. The fishingin Flamingo has tapered off a bit with many of the larger snook spreading outnow that their spawning season is almost over. Now that doesn't mean we aren'tcatching them it just means we have to look a little harder and fish a littleharder to catch the fish we are looking for. Flamingo continues to see goodredfish action as we'll as action from tarpon, lots of sharks, snappers, ladyfish,jacks, tripletail and a few cobias.
