LAKE SINCLAIR IS FULL, 77 DEGREES, STAINED UP RIVER, MAIN LAKE CLEAR
Bass fishing is great. While everyone else is in the woods hunting over the next couple of months, it gives us dedicated fisherman the ability to fish for some un pressured fish. Typical fall patterns are working. Top water, crank baits, and spinner baits are great tools to catch numbers of fish this time of year. Small walking top water baits such as the Lucky Craft Sammy in a shad pattern has been good both morning and evening in the backs of creeks around stumps and points. Spro Little John crank baits and Buckeye Lures spinner baits in a shad color are great in these same areas when the fish don’t want to come to the top. Make sure to bump these baits off of any cover and structure you can find. Deflection will increase your chances at getting a bite. The key to fishing in the fall is making sure you stay around the bait. Use your Lowrance electronics to find concentrations of bait pods in the creeks and fish everything in that area. A Buckeye Spot Remover shaky head with a green pumpkin trick worm will catch fish on docks, brush piles and other wood cover in the creeks when nothing else will. If you are looking to get a bigger bite, toss a green pumpkin Buckeye Mop Jig around brushy docks and wood cover in the backs of creeks. This will catch a big fish that is looking for a crawfish meal instead of the small shad.
