LAKE ALLATOONA IS DOWN 8.6 FEET, STAINED & HIGH 60’S
Bass fishing is good and there are lots of schoolers pretty much all over the lake. Both the hybrids and spots are schooling during all times of the day. Definitely try to arrive early at the lake and take advantage of the schooling action but there are some good schools to be had during the day as well just be looking over your shoulder at all times. There are hybrids and spots mixed in and feeding on shad. Use a Sammy 115 in American Shad primarily because it's a heavier bait and it will cast a long way to the schooling fish once they surface. Use the Mini Me spinner baits by burning it just under the surface on the schooling fish. Be sure to use a good trailer hook because those schoolers can be finicky and often short strike. The Senko bite is picking up on the bluff walls. Use the blue pearl Senko rigged with a EWG offset Gamakatsu hook and 12 pound test fluorocarbon line. Spots like to hang around the last deep hole in any particular creek and gorge themselves on the shad. Mini Me's are a good choice as are Flashminnow 95 MR in MS MJ herring color. The drops hot is catching a few fish on the deep brush piles but most of them are on the small side. The big fish right now are at the mouths of the creeks on points and lay downs and are hitting the spinner baits if you can pique their interest.

Line side fishing is good. The bite is starting to pick up and should only get better as we head into the month of November. The fish are really starting to move up on the flats and points from Clear Creek north to Little River. Our best bite has been fishing big threadfins just off the bottom on the flats on most main lake points early and then again right before the sun goes down. As we move into the month, the bigger stripers and hybrids will start to show up on the main lake. The flatline and planer board bites will start to take off. Middle to large gizzard shad will be your best bet for big fish. If you’re after numbers, large threadfins will work best. November is one of the best months of the year for spooning. We use a 1/2 ounce white Flex it spoon fished right off the bottom. November is one of our best months on fish Lake Allatoona. The summer boat traffic is over and with deer season being in full swing not too many people are on the lakes. It’s just a peaceful time of the year to wet a line.
