Bass fishing is good and the fish are on shallow cover where there is current present. Try the river fishing too from roughly 5 miles south of River Bend all the way up to downtown Columbus. Fish the cover along bends in the main river that have current on them. A variety of baits will work and the small crank bait, a spinner bait, top water popper and the jig are all good choices.
