This past week on Guntersville came down to some very specific fishing as location was everything; some found them many did not. The bass made some big moves out toward the winter locations and the transition was tough if you couldn’t locate them; if you did size was unreal as there was many fish caught this past week around 10 pounds. The problem was, not many folks figured out where they moved too, and there were certainly a lot of disappointed folks this past week if they hit the lake without a guide.

The bait choices have been very similar from the early September days till now, Tight-Line swim jigs with Missile Bait Shock Wave swim baits, SPRO square bills and some soft plastic like Missile Bait D-Bombs is what they hit. Water depth changed a little as the transition depth moved to 10 to 14 ft. of water.

The holidays are in front of us and the fishing will turn to winter fishing, big fish, and cold weather and some great winter fishing is ahead.
