We caught fish everyday but on a couple of trips we had some really nice Blue Cats that literally filled the ice chest. We also had a couple of fish in the 25lb. range that we took pictures of and released to catch again the next trip! Due to the windy conditions on several trips we fished in a lot of different areas. On most trips we made our way up the Richland Creek arm of the Lake and fished in the heavy timber on the North Shoreline. The Catfish are and will be in this area all Winter and they're normally very easy to catch. On a couple of days when the South Wind was really blowing, we stayed in the coves around Fisherman's Point Marina and caught some very good fish! We continue to catch almost all our fish on Danny Kings Punch Bait on a # 4 treble hook. Most days the Catfish are near the bottom in 15' to 20' water.
December is a GREAT month for Catfishing and we have openings much of the month. We even have ONE BOAT OPEN ON EACH SATURDAY in December and LOTS of WEEKDAY openings! Plan that Weekend or Christmas Break Trip now, give us a call and We'll Go Catchin'!
