Mark your calendars for May 30th
SPRO is holding a Crankbait Only Tournament on Lake Guntersville with a top prize of $10,000 with only a $100 entry fee. Little Johns, Fat Johns, Fat Papas, Aruku Shad, Rock Crawler pick your favorites and get to cranking. Marshall County Convention & Visitor Bureau has once again made all the accommodations perfect just like they did for the 2014 frog only tournament. The take off site will be at the Harbor (same place as the classic blasted off from) We will have the website ready to take entries by no later then March. And of course the SPRO Frog only tournament will be Oct. 10th this year and that one will be at Civitan Park and as always if you have any questions about either event you can call me at 256-698-6593 Jim Leary Director.


Fishing on Guntersville still remains good as the water temps are stable but the clarity has not. We have been finding our bass from 4 ft to 20ft on Net Bait swim baits on 4x4 Head Hunter swim bait head in and around the grass and SPRO McSticks in open water over 20ft.

I have 2 spots left for Lake Erie Small Mouth Adventure in August 2015 a deposit will secure your spot, speaking of smallies I visited Ohio over Christmas and wetted a line for them, water temp was 34 and the air temp was 28 talking about chilly but when these tanks start pulling and jumping you forget all about it..
