  • Lake Sinclair Fishing Report

LAKE SINCLAIR IS FULL, 89 DEGREES AND RIVERS AND CREEKS ARE STAINED.

Bass fishing is good. All the recent rains have Georgia Power moving water consistently throughout the day. Moving water means good fishing for us. It’s hard to beat the Little River Bridge right now. Crank the points of the rip rap with various shad colored crank baits. Start with a shallow crank bait and work your way down to a deeper diver. A flat sided balsa crank bait made by Kip Carter has been catching a lot of fish on the bridge and main river points in the Little River area. Make sure you order a few of these baits before your next trip by contacting Kip at [email protected]. There have been a few fish on the sides of the rip rap also. A small bone colored popper and a shaky head with a trick worm have been catching some of these fish. Brush piles on the Oconee River have also been good with Texas rigged Zman Palmetto Bugz and Shaky heads with Zman finesse worms. Keep an eye out for mayflies up the Oconee River. We should have a big hatch up the Oconee within the next week. If you find a hatch, throw a brown Buckeye Mop Jig and a prop bait made by Kip Carter around the overhangs and dock walkways.
