CLARKS HILL IS DOWN 1.3 FEET, LOW 50’S DEGREES & STAINED

Bass fishing is good. The buck bass are already up on the shallow flats getting ready for the big females. Rapala X Raps in the Number 10 size and in the Olive Green Color are really working. On the ledges and points, crank baits and spinner baits seem to be an angler’s best friend. Shad Raps and DT10's on the ledges in shad will work. The Strike King 1/2 ounce spinner bait in the areas where the old grass mats mix with the sandy bottoms are the best bet. Wind is a fisherman's best friend during the pre spawn periods. Not all Bass will spawn at the same time so going deep with the drop shot and Carolina rigs won't be out of the question. With one more cold front passing through this weekend, this is common this time of the year.
