LAKE SINCLAIR IS FULL, 55/60 DEGREES, RIVERS AND CREEKS ARE STAINED, LOWER LAKE IS CLEAR
Bass fishing is good and will get better with the longer days and the rising water temperature. Usually by this time each year numbers of bass are shallow, but with the colder temperatures this winter we are a few weeks behind. But it’s about to bust wide open!! Look for fish on secondary points just inside the major creeks, deeper weed lines, flats and the first drop offs near spawning areas. Spinnerbaits, lipless crank baits, Chatterbaits and small crank baits in two to five feet of water will catch fish. After the sun gets on the water, work the same areas with a Texas rigged lizard in June bug or green pumpkin with a 3/16 ounce weight, just dragging it on the bottom with intermediate pauses. Shallow docks continue to produce a few fish on 1/4 ounce brown craw fish colored jigs. Use a Zoom super chunk Jr. in a green pumpkin color and tip the claws in chartreuse Spike It dye.
