LAKE GEORGE IS DOWN ONE FOOT, UPPER 60’S
Bass fishing is fair to good and soon the big bass bite will kick in. Fishermen are scattered from one end to the other so go to the backs of the small creeks and coves with the crank baits. A lot of the largemouth are moving shallow as they bed. Use the crank baits in the shallow running variety like the crawfish color #5 Shad Raps and the deeper running Rapala DT10 in the hot mustard. Keep the line size down to the ten pound range and keep the bait in the water. Top water is good on the Chug Bugs and Pop R’s. Stay in the back of the coves for best results. Jigs are also working but work any wood on the banks. There is a good worm bite. Stay with the cranks for the limits and then try the jig or plastics mid day.
