LOTS OF WATER and it's still coming!!! Our 45,000 acre lake is now full for the first time in about 6 years with as many as 24 of the 24 Spillway Gates open most of last week! The lake rose over 4 ' in one day as the 11" of rain last Sunday night near Corsicana had the Creeks, Rivers and Lake out of their banks! You wouldn't think we'd be able to find or catch a fish in these conditions, but we fished and caught fish everyday except Wednesday ( when it was too Windy) last week and sent our Customers home with plenty of fish fry material!





The White Bass are still relating to their normal Spring locations such as Pelican Island, the Old Hwy 287 Roadbed and Main Lake Points. These locations are just 10' deeper than it was a couple of months ago! RSR Chartruse Slabs ( www.rsrlures.com ) lifted slowly off the bottom in water depths ranging from 25' to 35' is the key to a box of fish. You might even find a few schools of top water fish early in the morning. If so, tie on a Sassy Shad or just about any small swim bait and zip it just below the surface. You'll usually catch a mixture of big White Bass and smaller Hybrids!
