LAKE GEORGE IS FULL, CLEAR & LOW 80’S
Bass fishing is good. Finding concentrations of fish seem to be the key so when you get bit slow down and work the stretch of bank and fish it out good as the fish seem to be holding on key areas along the banks. The shad spawn has been going on and the bass are after them feeding up for another wave of spawning next week. The shallow bite is producing some good fish. Use the 3/8 ounce Stanley spinner baits with large gold and silver willow leaf blades. Cast as close to bank cover and grass lines with any lures. There have been a few anglers using the Alabama rig with some success but be sure to use small fluke trailers on small lead heads on the rig. A few fish will bite a Shad Rap in the shad and black back crank bait or a jig and pig. Work the shallow grass and the stumps on the edges of the creeks. Crank baits in bone and orange bellies in the creeks and on secondary points, is fair. Up the river, flip a big dark Berkley Power worms and use big ones. Flip the grass lines and holes. A grass frog can get a mean strikes on the grass.
