Bass fishing is fair. Super Spooks, white Zoom Super flukes and white buzz baits as well as the shad Pop R are the baits of choice. The key is locating an area with plenty of bait fish and schooling fish. Later in the day try Carolina and Texas rigs with worms and lizards and crank baits like Fat Free Shad, Bill Norman and Bomber Series on the deep water points and drops. Green crank baits with an orange belly are taking the most bass. Try the all black Jitterbug and the all black Sworming Hornet buzz bait all night. Small spots are being caught on small Bitsey Bug jigs with a Zoom Fat Albert grub in green. Add some Lunker Sauce to the baits for extra strikes. These fish relate to shallow points after 9pm. Try and beat the heat with a 10 inch black or red shad Culprit worm on a 5/0 Mustad offset hook and heavy line. Swim the bait up to the docks and then let it drop on a free line and sit and wait for about 20 seconds.
