Bass fishing is good but the grass bite has been slower due to fluctuating water levels. Shallow grass early along with shallow river ledges during the day will get anglers a few good bites. The bite is day to day, with most of the days having anglers looking in 2 feet of water then to 19 feet of water. There is a lot of real estate for the fish to move around and with the massive amount of bait hatched out as this full moon passes means the bass can feed up anywhere. Some top water action has been good early, but it's about as reliable as the ledge bite. The crank bait bite has been slow but it or the shallow bite just takes some time and commitment. For about 2 week, all the bait running around makes it tough. Working Texas rigs in shallow cover ranging from 5 to 10 feet can work but if you don't dead stick the worm or Senko in the structure for a minute or so they won't touch it.
