JACKSON LAKE IS FULL, 80’S & CLEAR

Bass fishing has been fair. The bass working their way out to summer staging areas. Fish have moved out to the six to eight feet depths on any kind of wood or cover. Look closely around docks for brush piles and other debris that will hold fish. Use 3/8 ounce black and blue jigs with a black and blue flake trailer. Shaky heads are producing in these same areas. Use a 3/16 ounce shaky head with a Zoom green pumpkin trick worm. The early morning top water bite is on fair but be there before daylight. Early use the buzz baits, poppers and walking stick baits. Work top water baits slowly as fish are still lethargic after the spawn. Do not expect very many bites on top water but they will be larger fish. The best pockets are right off the main lake. Spotted bass can be caught on just about points, sea walls or lay downs. Some of the best points have been around the mouth of the Tussahaw creek. Once you have located fish use a shaky head or Carolina rig with a green pumpkin trick worm.
