Bass fishing is good with the cooling trend, most bass are deep on their summer pattern. Some bass are being caught around the grass in 1 to 3 feet of water early in the morning and late in the afternoon on ribbit frogs, chatter baits, and swim baits. Jigs, Carolina rigged plastics, deep running crank baits and big willow leaf spinner baits slow rolled, are catching fish, the top water bite is on early and late also. With the Cool front moving thru, the water temps are dropping slowly and some fish might start moving shallower to the cooler water.

Striper fishing is fair and they are being caught in the main lake on the old river channel ledges and in Little River and the lower Chattooga River on live shad down lined 8 to 12 feet deep and on flat lines.

Crappie fishing is fair and they are in deeper water on cover in the flats and the river channel ledges. Spider rigging with live minnows over cover in 12 to 16 feet of water is producing. Night fishing under lights and on lighted docks is producing the best crappie fishing now.
