The Snag Proof Frog bite has gotten off to a slow start, but we are still able to get some good blows and a lot of fun with small to average fish. The grass is where it needs to be for a very productive Frog bite and with the weather temps getting cooler it's just a matter of time that the "Big-uns" get cranked up and then the "explosions" we like to see in the thick, matted, mucky grass will finally be here to get ourselves "cranked up". This is also some great timing for the Guntersville Lake Snag Proof Open Tournament on Oct. 3rd. With the thick mucky grass and cooler temps we look for a great tournament and some great bags of fish to be weighed in. This is a fantastic time of year with a lot of different patterns that can be used successfully with the fish getting more aggressive. Get out and enjoy it while it's here. Have fun, Mike Carter
