LAKE OCONEE IS FULL, HEAVY STAINE UP THE RIVERS THE MAIN LAKE, RICHLAND CREEK CLEAR, 71 74 DEGREES

Bass fishing is good. Start at the mouths of the creeks and coves with a small crank bait fished down sea walls and around the boat docks. Continue to move into the coves and creeks until you find the bait. The fish will be close by. The buzz bait bite has taken off over the past week. The middle of the coves with wood sea walls have been the best producer. Make sure you have a trick worm or fluke ready as a back up bait if the fish miss the buzz bait.

Striper fishing is fair. A few fish are starting to show up mid lake in the coves and creeks. A spoon or small crank bait trolled over these fish will draw a strike. The live bait bite is picking up. The larger fish are coming on the live bait.

Crappie fishing is good. The fish are in the mouths of the creek and large coves. They have moved into the timber and you can find them with your Lowrance in the top of the trees. When you find them drop a live minnow into the school and start catching. Some fish are also coming on jigs trolled at a depth of 10 ft. over the same timber.

Make sure you stop by Sugar Creek Marina and pick up your spoons and all your tackle needs. You can also book your Crappie and striper trips with Reel Time Guide Service at 404 803 0741 or [email protected]
