It looks like Fall has finally made an appearance and will stick around this time!!! Wonderful, cool morning temps in the 50's and the afternoons only in the 80's. It's my kind of weather! The fish are responding well to the changes as the White Bass are starting to show up and hopefully will stick around for their annual "Fall Feeding Frenzy". We are still not conducting many White Bass trips as the fish are just too scattered to get a box full for our Customers. If you do try for the Whites, focus on the Pelican Island and Windsock Point areas with Slabs. ( www.rsrlures.com ) We have been catching LARGE amounts of Catfish early in the morning and then chased the Whites and this has resulted in a couple of fun trips this past week.

For the folks wanting to catch, catch and catch some more, we have fished most entire trips for Catfish and literally loaded the ice chest! We have "baited holes" and the Catfish are there most days by the hundreds. Danny Kings Punch Bait on a # 4 treble hook is the key to a great fish fry! Both Blues and Channels are being caught in big numbers.



Lastly, on the less windy days, there have been several reports of nice catches of Crappie on the Bridge Columns. The columns are tough to fish in windy conditions so be careful if you try your luck there. Small minnows in 20 FOW will result in some nice fish.
