Today I fished the Goose Pond "Wildcat" Tournament and was able to have a pretty "dang" good day. I caught my fish today in an average of 8-10 ft. of water with scattered grass. I caught fish on Choo Choo Lures jigs and shakers paired up with 7'6" Heavy action Hammer Rod and 20 lb. Vicious line. We had a constant north wind all day, but when the sun started heating the water up the "Big Girls" turned on. I had a 5 fish limit that weighed 21.18 lbs. and it was good enough to win first place. It was surprising how good these fish hit especially with the weather conditions we had. That shows just how aggressive these fish can get when Fall arrives. Get out and have fun. Mike Carter
