Here's hoping you and your Family had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are now fully into the Holiday Spirit! Adam and I had a great few days of fishing leading up to Thanksgiving as we had both boats on the Lake Monday thru Wednesday, and along with our Customers caught a boatload of Catfish! Family and Friends fishing and then onto more fun with food, football and all the stuff Holidays are made of! ( Pictured is the Jenkins Family from Fairfield and various East Texas Towns who joined us on Tuesday for a morning of catching!)

The weekly rains and cold temps kept us off the Lake the Weekend after Thanksgiving and has Richland Chambers Lake very stained on the Main Lake and downright muddy up the Creeks. Water temperature is in the low 60's and will continue to chill down as we receive more and more Cold Fronts. Fishing for the White Bass, Hybrid Stripers and Crappie has been almost non-existent with all the fresh water but.......

Whether it's quantity or quality you want on a fishing trip, it's hard to beat Catfishing on Richland Chambers this time of year! The Channel Cats normally provide all the action you want and on almost every trip, someone hooks into a Big Blue! Seems that the cooler the temperatures, the better the bite. Danny King's Punch Bait on a #4 Treble Hook fished in water depths ranging from 10'-20' has been the key to success. We're fishing timbered areas and almost always near a drop off or creek channel.
