CLARK HILL IS DOWN 3.2 FEET, UPPER 50’S

Bass fishing is good. Check the shallow water and the mouths of the small creeks and coves for any signs of a shad die off. The cold weather should have killed off some of the bait fish and they will be floating on top of the water. These are excellent areas to use a slow retrieve Husky Jerk. The #10 size is a great one to use and Glass Minnow would be a color. Try to make the bait appear to be like a dying shad. Small twitches and longer pauses will trigger a strike off any bass in the area. The drop shot and Carolina rig will work and some fish are coming on the jigging spoon early in the morning. The baitfish are really stacked now into the creeks, pockets and major ditches, so keep your eye on your electronics.
