  • Lake Fork Fishing Report - TX

This has to be the warmest December ever. Here it is December 23rd and the water temp is still 58 degrees. Normally, I'll talk people out of fishing Fork this late in the winter because the bite is so slow and I want my customers to get their money's worth. But this year it's awesome. We had the best spawn of largemouths ever, so there are tons of bass just under a pound. Additionally, there are so many white bass that I've been able to catch several on just about every spot I look. Yesterday, I took a couple of family members out for 2-3 hours. We hit 5 different spots and caught at least 10 fish on every spot. I spent about an hour cleaning fish.

We celebrated our Christmas early this year. So I don't have any commitments for Christmas eve or Christmas day. The forecast is 70 degrees both days. So I'm trying to promote a 1/2 day afternoon trip both days.

For these 2 days only, I'm offering a guaranteed 2-person limit of largemouths (10 fish) - or a total of 25 fish of any species in a 5 hour trip. You can decide which.
If you want to take me up on this offer, call my cell phone today at 214-549-4644.
Once the water temp gets in the lower 50s, the fishing WILL slow down. So take advantage of this offer while it's available.

$250 for 2 people for 5 hours (noon to 5PM). $50/extra for a 3rd person. If we don't get 10 largemouths or 25 fish of any species, you only pay $50 (to cover a portion of my expenses).

FYI, guide trips make great gifts. If you want to purchase a gift certificate for someone for Christmas, call me or send me an email. If I get payment before 8PM, I'll reply with a certificate you can print the same day.

Once the water gets cold, I will be recommending Lake Welsch. The water is warm there, so they bill bite good all winter long.

I try to post a couple of pictures to my Facebook page every trip. So keeping up with that page is a much better report than what I can do in front of my computer at home. If you follow my Facebook page (actually, the Facebook term is "like"), you can get my posts without delay. I often post pictures as soon as we catch them - and almost always post the same day. So if you see several big fish in the same day, you can rest assured the fishing is good then. If you wait until I post a fishing report, you can be sure that it has slowed down enough for me to leave the lake.
