LAKE ALLATOONA IS DOWN 13.5 FEET, HIGH, 50’S, STAINED
Bass fishing is hit or miss and lots of things are changing on the lake. The numbers and size have been decent this week. Concentrate on the rocky shorelines on the northeast side of the lake. These shorelines are the first to warm up as the sun rises in the morning. Keep the boat in about 10 feet of water and cast to the shoreline. Most of the bites are coming in about 5 to 8 feet of water and they are attacking the Staysee 90 in American Shad color. Once you get the Staysee down to its maximum depth, slowly reel the Staysee back to the boat with the reel with some brief pauses. The drop shot bite with the Yamamoto Flat Tails has been sporadic but should pick back up once the weather stabilizes. Try some of the many marinas around the lake and fish the boat slips in the 20 to 35 foot range. Also try drop shot rigs in the brush in the same depth ranges as well.

This Lake Allatoona Line Side Report Is Bought To You By Robert Eidson Owner Of First Bite Guide Service. 770 827to6282
Line side fishing is very good. This has been the BEST December we have seen in years. If you are looking for numbers mid lake is where you want to be this time of year. Small gizzard shad, thread fins and small trout fished on planer boards, free lines and down lines just of the river channel from Kellogg's to Iron Hill has been very good to our boats. If you find the fish stacked up on the flats like Galts to Kellogg Creek, it's hard to beat a 1/2 ounce all white Flex it spoon. These same fish will also eat and umbrella rig. We are using a three arm fully loaded and pulling it 80 feet behind the boat. This allows me to fish water that is less than 15 feet deep. Use the Lowrance Structure Scan and Down Scan technology to help find the bait and if the line sides are close by, the machines will show them. This has been working really well midday. Remember First Bite Gift Certificates make great Christmas presents for the outdoor people in your life. 770 827to6282
