It's that time of the year that we're fishing only a few days each week and only on those days that allow for both a FUN and SAFE trip! We cancel or reschedule when the weather is just too cold or nasty to have an enjoyable day on the water. However, when we have been out, the FISHING IS ABOUT AS GOOD AS IT GETS! It's been a bit unusual recently as we're catching only Keeper Fish during the entire timeframe. Hardly any undersized or throwback fish on any trips for several weeks is almost unheard of! Guess the larger Blue and Channel Catfish like the cooler weather and fresh water we received from the great rains of the past few months!
The water temperature has cooled into the low 50's, the lake is at Full Pool level, and we're guessing the Catfish will be on this type bite for the remainder of the Winter! We continue to catch our fish over "Baited Holes" on Danny Kings Punch Bait. The pattern that is most successful is to find the Cormorants roosting in the standing timber in an area, supplement with a Baited 5 Gallon Bucket of Range Cubes, and it's almost a GUARANTEE you'll CATCH Catfish!
REMEMBER....WE'RE OFFERING A "WINTER SPECIAL RATE" FROM NOW THROUGH FEBRUARY! THREE FISHERMEN FISH AT THE TWO PERSON RATE!
Watch the Weather Forecast, pick out a nice Spring Like Day and give us a call! We'll go Catchin!
