  • Lake Allatoona Fishing Report - GA

LAKE ALLATOONA IS DOWN 12.1 FEET HIGH 40’S VERY STAINED

Bass fishing is fair. Fish are scattered but they are still fairly shallow and relating to rocks and shallow wood exposed to the sun on the colder days but most fish are small. Baits are Float N Fly, Shad Raps and jerk baits. Work rocky points and shorelines and key into transition areas where rock turns to bluffs or rocks turn to flats. Use a low steady retrieve. Any color with chartreuse in them is still working. Largemouth on the visible wood structure and they are hitting 3/8 ounce jig in black and blue pitched into those visible lay downs and brush piles. Be sure to use a good fluorocarbon line to detect those subtle bites.

This Lake Allatoona Fishing Report has been brought to you exclusively Robert Eidson of First Bite Service 770 827 6282. www.firstbite service.com Lake Allatoona Georgia [email protected].

Line side fishing is fair but get ready to look for them hard. One day you may catch 12 to 15 fish the next day you may zero. Be sure to use the Lowrance Structure Scan and Down Scan technology to find the food and then the gamefish. The back of the creeks are holding a lot of bait. But it's so thick you can't tell if there is any fish under them. So the best thing to do when you find bait this thick fish the outside edges of the bait. And don't be afraid to check the very back of the creeks. You'll be surprised what you might find back there. Fish these fish the same way you did last week. Flat lines and planner boards with small baits. Thread fin shad seems to be the best live bait right now. But medium shiners will work. By mid day these fish will move out to the middle of the creeks and can be caught on down lines and the umbrella rig in all white.
