Bass fishing is slow. And another round of cold weather is on the way. The latest front past through shut down the shallow water bite as they began to start cruising the shoreline. The fish are deep holding along the main river channel in 17 to 22 feet of water. Try flipping late on shoreline cover. The majority of baitfish are in the creeks swimming near the surface during the latter part of the day, probably soaking up the sun.
Crappie fishing is great and they are being caught long line trolling with Jiffy jigs in colors JJ08 JJ13 JJ17 JJ20 JJ25 and JJ25 in Little river Little Spring Creek Tabs Cove and the cove's at Riverside Camp Ground. Crappie are also being caught on a float and fly technique in these same locations.
