Bass fishing is slow. Water temperatures have cooled down with all the cold weather we had last week. The fish are starting to migrate towards the mounds of creeks. There has been somewhat of a lipless crank bait by early in the day, and mixing it up later with a mid depth Crankbaits like a shad rap of little John. There has also been a jig bite in the guts of pockets. Green pumpkin brown and a twin tail grub. Fish it slow... Hopefully the pattern will get stronger soon.

Line sides fishing is good. The bite this past week have been very good. We are not seen huge numbers but the fish we are catch are good size. Free lines and planner boards are working early. But once the sun comes up, we are changing over to all down lines. The south end of the lake is fishing best right now. But, we have also gotten some reports of some really nice fish being caught up north on big gizzard shad. So if you are looking to get your line pulled, head south with small baits. If you are looking for a trophy, stop by the Striper Soup get some big gizzards and head north.
