After several months of recovering from surgery I finally made a little dent in the return period as I spent some quality time fishing this past week. I am certainly not 100% ready to fish every day but getting closer and gaining more time on the water. I believe I am close and will be working toward a complete return over the next month.

Fishing this week had its ups and downs, and with the constant change of temperature and weather the days were on and off; some good some tough and some fun! Regardless of what your impression is Guntersville is still slow but progressing toward the spawn and improving daily.

My bait choice has still been mainly search baits like SPRO rattle baits, Missile Bait Shock Wave swim baits rigged on Tight Line swim jigs and Picasso Lures Shock Blades jigs or more commonly referred to as chatter baits. Working them very quickly changing speed and presentation with 7-1-1 Lews reels and yo-yoing them seemed to work best.
