JACKSON LAKE IS DOWN .70 FEET, CLEARING & 60’S

Bass fishing is good and most of the lake has some stained water. Top water is a good way to target shallow bass in the early morning. Bass will hold close to docks, waiting to ambush shad on the main lake seawalls and rip rap. The morning hours are great just avoid the pollen in the pockets. The bite through the day can be hit and miss. Jigs will work well through the later part of the morning when the sun is getting up. Throw at rock and wood. Wood should include the man made structure. The Jig should find them on the dock posts late morning and under the floating dock later in the day. Generally, you should find them holding in 1 to 7 feet of water. Better quality fish will be in the main lake. Work the main lake points and blow downs, along with docks, for fish through the day. Spinner baits, small cranks, lipless cranks, flukes and jerk baits, are among the other baits that will catch fish.
