Cold front, strong NW winds, bright skies, all of the ingredients for a tough day on the "Big-G". "BUT", I like having to throw that word in with the mix, "BUT" the "Big-G" can surprise you and show you a great day of fishing even when cold fronts like the one we have now show up. I got out today with a Gentleman from New York that wanted to experience Guntersville Lake for the first time, and with the conditions we had in front of us I was a little worried about what kind of day we might have. We both ended up being surprised ourselves at how well the action was. We caught fish on Choo Choo Lures Spinnerbaits, Swimjigs, and Shakers in an average of 2-4 ft. of water, and was able to catch a lot of quality fish with these patterns. It was a surprisingly productive day and we had an absolute blast experiencing it. A great first time trip to the "Big-G" for this guy and I don't think it will be his last. Get out and have fun.
